Except for chalk, lifting straps are the primary piece of equipment that our elite team and others in the gym use. Simply put, these lifting straps enhance your grip on heavy exercises like deadlifts or shrugs. They can be used in most commercial gyms. For athletes doing the Olympic Lifts or Crossfit exercises, lifting straps are used on heavy pulls, hang snatches, or snatches, and especially on volume days. It takes practice to get the hang of using weightlifting straps, but it is worth the effort. Weightlifting straps can dramatically improve your grip, which will allow you to focus your weightlifting on the larger muscle groups and perform more volume. Especially for strength athletes and Olympic Weightlifters, lifting straps are a must.

Our durable weightlifting straps are a long strip of reinforced fabric (nylon) with a loop on one end. The weightlifting straps are already sewn together for ease of use and comfort. - Put your hand through the circle made by the lifting strap.
- With your palms facing up the lifting straps should fall between your thumb and index finger on both hands.
- Tighten the weightlifting strap around your wrist.
- Grab the Olympic bar with the weightlifting strap hanging towards the floor.
- Pull the weightlifting strap under the bar and back over the top and repeat until the lifting strap is snug around the Olympic bar.
- Twist the bar towards you to tighten the weightlifting straps slightly more.
Weightlifting straps can be beneficial in your training, but be careful not to over use them or you will end up with a weaker grip. Depending on your overall goals, most weightlifters end up using lifting straps every workout, especially during heavy volume training periods.
