Shaheen Hash On Day 3 of the BFS Cycle, the team continues to work on getting Braver Faster and Stronger. The workout starts with snatches from Position 1, focusing on eliminating the counter move (no hitting with the hips) and forcing them to pull themselves under the bar Faster. They follow that up with 1 clean + 2 jerks, having to steel themselves for that second jerk after lowering the bar down from the first. They finish the workout with 5x5 back squats.
Highlights:
- Ian Anderson and Shaheen Hashemian are less than a week out from competing at Junior Nationals and are practicing the full lifts as a tune-up for the competition.
- Rob is still battling a bruised pelvic bone, but hits big numbers from the hang in both lifts, not terribly far from his full lift PRs.
- Scott is working on switching from a bent-arm hip clean to a straight-arm clean off the thigh
- Spencer attempts to get as many of his 25 squat reps in one go, and manages 12 reps with 190kg.
